Did I really think I could do boudoir photos? Definitely not! I struggled with my body image for quite some time and with a fairly new post mom body, I was not very happy with the way I looked. I thought by doing this, I could learn to love myself and see beauty in my changing body. I was anxious and nervous before the shoot but Jolana did amazing in preparing me. As soon as I got there, Jolana and Angie (makeup and hair artist) brought out the beauty in me that I didn’t know I had. It was an overwhelming experience but SO much FUN. There was laughter and joy. It felt genuine. Jolana made me feel comfortable in my own skin and not to worry about the flaws. She let me know that I was beautiful time and time again and owned every single moment we shot together. I cannot recommend Jolana enough. She is such a sweet and beautiful person. She is STRONG, passionate, and dedicated. Thank you Jolana for being able to capture those special moments that bring continue to bring joy to our lives.

I did a boudoir shoot with The Photography Experience. From the moment I booked Jolana was responsive and helpful. We did an initial phone conversation to get some ideas for the shoot. She followed up with a great welcome packet with tips and ideas. She was more than willing to listen to my ideas and went above and beyond to make my shoot everything I had in mind. From the moment you walk into the shoot she makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. She has an amazing makeup/hair artist. And she easily teaches you by showing you the pose how to get the model look. It doesn’t end at the shoot. After you get to sit down and take as much time as you need to put the perfect package together without being rushed or pressured. I can not recommend The Photography Experience enough.
Hi there, Beautiful! I’m Jolana, and I absolutely love showing my clients just how beautiful, sexy, and desired they really are! I have always had a passion for photography and helping others, and boudoir photography has really given me the option to do both. I am constantly amazed at how many of us out there don’t feel like we are worthy, or don’t feel sexy/ beautiful/in shape/ etc… enough to do a boudoir shoot (Me included before my own shoot!). But I am here to tell you that you are GORGEOUS, girl, and you are WORTHY of this.
Why Boudoir?
The human body- its curves, markings, wrinkles, scars, and all its intricacies- creates a canvas of the life we have lived. Our body is a powerful and beautiful reminder of the battles we have won; of the warriors that we are. We should not feel the need to hide it because it doesn’t fit the unachievable standards society has created for us. Instead, we should be proud of our scars. Be proud of the battles and challenges we have overcome. And accept our body no matter how imperfect it feels to us.
Boudoir photography, to me, is what helps us not only accept the body we have, but it helps us fall back in love with it. It empowers us to challenge what the “perfect” body is and kick all the expectations put on us by media, magazines, and society to the curb. We are each created uniquely, and that is what should be celebrated. Let’s take back out self-image and confidence, and dare to love our bodies the way they are right in this moment.
